Rainbows

Rainbows Hospice

We held our first ever Balloon race at the Boston Community Showcase in September 2010. Our Chairman Sarah released over 500 balloons which helped raise over £500 for Rainbow's. A fantastic sight to see and one we hope to repeat this year. Well done to Sophie Horton with the farthest travelling Balloon, which ended up in the French Alps!

In September 2010 the girls from Boston Circle also took to the cat walk, in a Charity Fashion Show kindly sponsored by Oldrids Department store in Boston. A fun night was had by all; the evening included the show, a raffle and a make up demonstration as well as free goody bag for all the ladies who attended. Again we were amazed at people's generosity and we raised another £535 for Rainbow's.

Not content with this Circler Julie Moore, donned a parachute and jumped, tandem style, from a plane over sunny Lincolnshire to raise a further £600 for Rainbow's. What a game girl she is.

We finished off our fundraising year with a Race Night which raised a whopping £1274.50. A massive thank you to everyone who supported us at the race night.

With smaller fundraisers including Strictly Come Dancing swep stake and "Fat Fighters" we have raised over £4000 for Rainbows and we would like to say thank you to everyone who has donated to this worthwhile cause. Sarah Hill, Chairman 2010-2011, presented the cheque to Rainbows on 9th April and would like to say a personal thank you to everyone who has contributed to this fantastic amount raised.
